These terms of service govern your use of FishyFractions (fishyfractions.co.uk and play.fishyfractions.co.uk) and are provided by [DEVELOPER NAME PLACEHOLDER]. By using FishyFractions you agree to these terms.

The service

FishyFractions is an educational game for KS3 fraction maths. It is available as:

  • Free version — available without an account. Covers Topics 1–4 and a small aquarium. Progress stored in your browser only.
  • Premium — unlocks Topics 5–8 and the full aquarium shop for a one-time payment of £3.99. Requires an account.
  • School licence — annual licence for schools covering all students. Subject to a separate school licence agreement.

Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
  • One account per person. You may not share accounts.
  • You may add up to three child profiles under one premium account.
  • Children under 13 require parental consent to create an account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The premium purchase

  • The premium purchase is a one-time payment of £3.99 made via Lemon Squeezy.
  • The purchase unlocks Topics 5–8 and the full aquarium shop permanently on the account used to purchase.
  • The purchase is tied to your account. Sign in on any device to restore access.
  • There is no subscription and no further in-app purchases.
  • The purchase covers all future content updates to the game.
  • Refunds are available under the conditions set out in the refund policy.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the game
  • Use automated tools to interact with the game (bots, scripts)
  • Circumvent any access controls or licensing checks
  • Interfere with the operation of the game or its servers
  • Create accounts to misrepresent your identity or the identity of others

Coins

  • In-game coins have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or real-world goods.
  • Coins are earned through correct answers only and cannot be purchased with real money.
  • We may adjust coin rates or in-game pricing. These changes do not affect your right to refund under the refund policy.

Content and intellectual property

All content in FishyFractions — including the game code, graphics, sounds, and text — is owned by [DEVELOPER NAME PLACEHOLDER] or used under licence. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of it without our written permission.

The fractions help pages on this website contain educational content that you may share for non-commercial educational purposes, provided you credit FishyFractions.

Availability

We aim to keep FishyFractions available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the game offline for maintenance. We will try to give notice for planned downtime.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the game. We will not remove features you have paid for without a refund.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

FishyFractions is provided for educational purposes. We do not guarantee that use of the game will improve your child's exam results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the game. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days notice of material changes by email where we hold your address. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
